Teodoro Perez was born in the province of Soria in 1952. In 1966 he moved to Madrid, where he began his apprenticeship/training in the José Ramirez III workshop. In 1991 he set up his own workshop, which soon became a family workshop as his son Sergio began working with him.
The Madrid model is his lowest-priced concert model, but it was built with the very same craftsmanship and attention to detail as his other concert models. It is aptly named, since it offers all the qualities typical of the Madrid style: power, great projection, deep basses, resonant and singing notes, as well as a round and warm timbre.
Its neck and the quick right hand response make it very comfortable to play.
Altogether, a very fine instrument at a reasonable price.
