Ryoji Matsuoka began making classical guitars as a self-taught artist in the early 1950s. In 1959, he founded the Matsuoka Company in Nagoya. He built various models of instruments inspired by Ramirez, Kohno, Hauser etc., the quality of his work will allow him to quickly acquire a reputation.

This model MH60 built in 1982 is inspired by Hauser (so the letter "H"). In perfect condition, the back and sides are made of solid Indian rosewood. The work of lutherie is of beautiful workmanship. The sound is homogeneous, the notes are clear and expressive with a nice presence and a well marked character.
