Anselmus is a Swiss luthier living and working in Fribourg. He studied guitar at the Fribourg Conservatory, where he later taught, and was awarded a virtuoso diploma from the Luzern Konservatorium, in Frank Bungarten’s class. A pupil and disciple of the luthier Christian Aubin (hence the "Anselmus Albini Alumnus » label), he has been building guitars and period instruments (lutes, vihuela...) for more than thirty years. Christian Aubin's legacy naturally led him to build Torres copies (Aubin owned the Torres SE23 from 1867) and, in the same line, copies of Robert Bouchet. The guitar presented here is a Bouchet copy with the back and sides in a handsome birdseye maple. Soundwise, this instrument is endowed with a beautiful musical presence, deep and expressive, its notes are clear, colourful and rich in harmonics.
