Juan Orozco is a Spanish luthier born in 1937. Born into a family of luthiers, he opened his first workshop in Uruguay in 1960. Between 1965 and 1995, he moved to New York, where he opened a famous guitar store on 56th Street. During this period, he collaborated with major Japanese luthiers such as Matsuoka, Tamura, Sakurai...
This guitar is the top-of-the-range model, with Brazilian rosewood back and sides. The label shows that it was made in Japan. This is a powerful, well-balanced guitar. The basses are full and deep. The trebles are clear and rich in harmonics. The tone is woody and expressive, with good polyphonic precision. A fine instrument to discover.
