Miguel Rodríguez is the story of a family of luthiers from Cordoba: father Miguel Rodríguez Beneyto, born in 1888, twin sons Rafaël (1921-1965) and Miguel Rodriguez (1921 - 1998), who signed this guitar, and grandson José Rodríguez Alamo (1950-1996). This dynasty will go down in the history of traditional Spanish lutherie alongside the greatest names, to the point of being compared to that of the Hauser dynasty. His interest in musical instruments began at a very early age, when he learned to play the Spanish guitar and mandolin, leading him to take an interest in the construction of these instruments years later. In 1906, he opened his own workshop on Calle San Fernando in Cordoba. He remained at this address until 1939, after his marriage and the birth of his children, he moved to rue Alfaros in Cordoba. In this workshop, he built a large number of guitars and trained his sons in lutherie until his death in 1975. The quality of their work brought them international renown.

This guitar, built in 1991, has remained in perfect condition. The aesthetics are superb, with the splendid rosette that makes these guitars so recognizable. The woods are of the best quality, such as the Spruce on the top. Soundwise, this instrument associates strong presence with subtile musicality. Responding to the attack, it can be impulsive and lyrical. It keeps a strong Spanish character, with round basses and clear, singing trebles. The rich, woody timbre combines modernity with the purest Spanish tradition, giving it a strong personality that makes this instrument unique and exceptional.
