Masaki Sakurai is one of Japan's most renowned luthiers. He was trained by his uncle Masaru Kohno, one of the most important luthiers of the 20th century. Through his talent and the quality of his guitars, Sakurai quickly proved himself worthy of this heritage, which he continues to perpetuate today. In 1988, Sakurai won the prestigious first prize at the fourth Paris International Guitar Making Competition, earning him the status of a world-class luthier.
The Maestro RF model presented here is at the top of the range. The woods are first choice. The craftsmanship and finish are faithful to the reputation and savoir-faire of this luthier.
