Lucas Martin was born in 1984, after building his first guitar at the age of 18, in 2006 he started working with his father Bernd Martin in the workshop located in the Sacromonte, district of Granada.
His father Bernd Martin was born in 1954 in Stuttgart. In 1976 he moved to Granada where he learned guitar making in the workshop of Antonio Duran and José Lopez Bellido. His work is in line with the Grenadine school of luthiers trained by Eduardo Ferrer.
The qualities of this guitar show that Lucas Martin is now skillfully perpetuating this paternal history and heritage. The lutherie work and decorations (rosette, purflings...) are of good quality. This is an instrument in the pure Andalusian tradition, light and responsive, the notes are percussive, colourful and singing.
