Born in Switzerland in 1978, Leonard Plattner is now living in Madrid. After starting out as a guitarist, he studied lutherie with Jacques Vincenti in Geneva, with whom he worked for several years. Then he moved to Madrid in 2010 where he met Arcángel Fernández. The latter takes him under his wing and transmits his know-how. In 2011, he took over the workshop of Arcángel Fernández, since he builds his own guitars with the tools and techniques inherited from his master and the great names of the Madrid tradition.
The aesthetics is successful and the work of lutherie is perfectly realized. It is a powerful and homogeneous instrument, the notes are clear, rich in harmonics and colored. The timbre is woody with a deep, beautiful expressivity. A superb guitar with a great character in the spirit of the great Madrid tradition.
