Juan Miguel González Morales was born in Almería in 1947. He began his apprenticeship in 1960 with his father, Miguel González Abad, he was also coached and helped by Gerundino Fernández when he started to make his first instruments. Juan Miguel González quickly acquired a great international reputation. Some of the great names of flamenco play on his guitars such as Tomatito, Norberto Torres, Monolo Franco, Carlos Piñana and El Niño de la Manola.
