Jean-Luc Joie opened his first workshop in Bordeaux in 1976. In 1982 he began to build his own guitars, and in 1988 he started to develop his innovative table system. His son Guillaume now works with him.
This guitar reflects the high construction and sound requirements common to JL Joie's work. This guitar was made with the greatest care.
Soundwise, it offers all the usual qualities of the Bordeaux based luthier's instruments: power, balance, depth, timbre, fullness, dynamic, and sustain, together with great playing comfort.
