This guitare is the Wolfgang Jellinghaus' "Signature » model : a double-top guitar (cedar/spruce with nomex) features a lattice bracing system. It also has a floating elevated fingerboard; since the fingerboard isn't fixed to the soundboard, this part of the top is allowed to vibrate (a technique already used by Stauffer in 19th c. Vienna). Its sides are reinforced with a second (inside) layer of cypress wood. It is a powerful but also a balanced and highly responsive instrument. Its narrow, well-shaped neck and impressive volume combine to make this guitar as gratifying as it is comfortable to play.
