The Armin Hanika workshop is located in Baiersdorf, Germany. Since 1953, they have been building high-quality classical guitars with an artisanal approach. In 1993, Armin Hanika took over his father's workshop.
The guitar presented here is the 1A Spezial model. The woods used are of the best quality, as shown by the back and sides, which are made of beautiful Mexican ziricote, and the soundboard, which is crafted from top-quality spruce. The openwork headstock is made of three layers: rosewood, maple and ziricote. The rosette designs feature an original representation of the signs of the zodiac. Soundwise, it is a powerful, balanced and responsive instrument offering a wide range of colours with dense, expressive notes.
