Fabio Zontini was born in Milan in 1971. In 1996, he graduated from the Civic School of Lutherie in Milan. His work is inspired by the great historical guitar makers of the Spanish tradition since Torres. His workshop is located in Olle, Liguria.
The guitar presented here, built for the 2022 Rome exhibition, is breathtakingly beautiful. The selected woods are superb and the workmanship is of a remarkable quality. The sound qualities are equal to the aesthetic beauty of this instrument, the notes are clear, dense and singing, the tone is warm, woody and expressive, the whole result shows all the knowledge and talent of this luthier. Fabio called this guitar "Luna di Maggio", it is well named for the poetry and lyricism that comes out of its musicality.
