Domingo Esteso (1882 - 1937) was trained by Manuel Ramírez (just like Modesto Borreguero, Santos Hernández and Enrique Garcia). In 1915, he set up his own workshop at Calle Gravina 7 in Madrid.
This guitar was built in 1922. The basses are round and deep and the trebles are mellow and colorful. The tone and expressive richness that made the reputation of this luthier, now considered one of the greatest masters in the history of Spanish lutherie, are present.
