Domingo Esteso (1882 - 1937) was one of the great luthiers of the early 20th century trained by Manuel Ramirez. In 1915 he established his own workshop in Calle Gravina 7 in Madrid. He is considered one of the great masters in the history of Spanish guitar making.
This guitar has been superbly restored by Guillermo Aguer (see photos of the restoration) who has preserved the sound qualities that make the identity of this great luthier. The smaller size (scale, neck width, body size) evokes a "Señorita" model. The musicality is of an incredible charm and lyricism, the basses are deep and the trebles are mellow, woody and colored: a magnificent instrument proposed at an interesting price because of the restoration.
