The young German luthier Dieter Müller has drawn on his scientific training and his musical skills as a guitarist and invented a new way of building double top guitars. His creativity quickly earned him a great reputation. What first strikes you is how lightweight this guitar is. This type of construction usually relies on a solid back and sides structure in order to concentrate the power effect on the top. Dieter Müller has chosen another approach : a light structure which spreads the vibrations over the whole instrument (as with traditionally-constructed guiitars). The result is a combination of the power and responsiveness of the double top and a richness of timbre, with colourful and flexible notes. The noticeably light tone woods are carefully selected and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The woods are of the highest quality and the craftsmanship is excellent. The guitar presented here is a tribute to Matthias Dammann, : the shape of the head, the rosette and bridge plate motifs of his guitars are present.
