Darío García is a young (born 2002) and talented Spanish luthier. In 2024, he won third prize in the Marín Montero competition in Granada. Darío García spent his childhood in a luthier's environment, with his father Antonio García, trained by Rolf Eichinger and Paco Santiago Marín, two major figures of the Granada school.
The guitar presented here is inspired by the Torres FE04 “La Leona” built in 1856. The luthier's craftsmanship and the precision of the finish show the skill of this young luthier. The sound qualities of this instrument are equally impressive. Its highly flexible notes and broad palette of colors offer expressive and lyrical musicality. Darío García is beginning to acquire an international reputation. There is no doubt that he will be part of a new generation that will continue to give Spain its privileged place.
