Angelo Vailati was born in 1977 in Treviglio, in the Bergamo region. Interested in lutherie since childhood, he enrolled in 2001 at the "Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano". He is also among those young Italian luthiers trained by Enrico Botelli (2005). He discovers his taste for historical Spanish guitar making : Torres, Manuel Ramirez, Santos Hernández, Domingo Esteso... In 2006, he attended a course with José Romanillos. In 2008, he goes to Granada to work in Daniele Chiesa's workshop. Today, his workshop is located in Bologna.
This guitar is inspired by the Torres SE114 (1888) which belonged to Francisco Tárrega. The aesthetics is superb and the workmanship (rosette, purfling, etc.) is of a remarkable quality, elegant and of a refined style. The sound is round and deep, the trebles are clear, dense, the notes are silky, smooth, vibrant and colorful with a great harmonic richness. An instrument with a beautiful musical presence, lively and expressive, offering the guitarist a wide sound palette.
