Greg Smallman has revolutionized classical guitar making by developing a new type of construction ("lattice guitar") that combines an extremely thin cedar top, a carbon-reinforced mesh bracing, laminated back (arched) and sides, and an adjustable neck. The result is a guitar which is both very powerful and easy to play.
First, John Williams and then several generations of concert performers have played on Smallman guitars. Later on, many luthiers took their cue from Smallman and embraced his innovative guitar design. Today, Greg Smallman's two sons Damon and Kym continue their father's work. This guitar is still in perfect condition with only a few playing marks on the top (see pictures).
